If you need a place to write letters, pay bills or make out a grocery list, but don't have much extra space, this wall mounted desk is an attractive solution. It can even be used in a hallway. Material requirements are small and construction is simple. Two side pieces fasten with screws to only three cross pieces (shelves). The three upper shelves can hold books or photos and the center shelf is adjustable. A front panel is hinged to the bottom inside shelf and tilts open for use as a 15-inch by 32-inch writing surface. Inside, compartments are arranged to hold stationery, envelopes and other desk accessories. The desk measures 8-3/4 inches deep, 33 inches wide, 42 inches high. Plans for a folding stool are also included!
