Owner-specific modifications:
Built full basement with two tuck-under garages

The Taylors' sons' college education came first—they sold their
previous home to pay for this priority. When it came time to build
again, they chose Plan E-2302 for its one-story design and plentiful
garage and storage space. Gary, a team manager for Eastman
Chemical Co., and his wife, a district manager for Wal-Mart,
were also taken in by the 9- and 12-foot ceilings.
Although the two made some modifications to the plan, the basic
structure had exactly what they needed. Once their sons moved from
the house for good, they could live in and enjoy the house
economically.
"It was possible to close off the back three bedrooms and bath
after our children left home," says Gary. "This helped save
on heating and cooling costs."
